Breaking the walls of cultural diversity, 11 Norwegian visiting students from Bergen Maritime Academy took part in the symbolic wearing of uniform and paraphernalia last February 21, 2013 at the PEA Center of John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation - Bacolod.

 

The Norwegian visiting students were assisted by 11 BSME 2nd year Odfjell Cadets in pinning the school paraphernalia to their summer white uniforms.

 

Cadets Goodfrey A. Bolivar and Ace Alvarado, both Fourth Year Marine Transportation students, are in the list of this year's Top 10 Most Outstanding Maritime Students, besting other maritime students from all over the country after a series of screening and interviews with a panel of professionals.

 

John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation-Bacolod received the confirmation of the cadets' win last Sept. 19.

 

     

     The Maritime School Assessment Program has named John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation - Bacolod as a High Performing School Awardee for both its BS Marine Transportation and BS Marine Engineering programs.

     

     Both programs made it to Category A for the years 2011 and 2012; while the Marine Engineering program made it to Category B for 2009.

     

After a long waiting, JBLCF-Bacolod is now ready for the PACUCOA Level III re-accreditation visit. The visit starts on Monday, March 12-13, 2012. It will be followed with the Consultancy Visit for the Business Department for their BS Customs Administration and BS Hotel and Restaurant Management programs on March 14-14, 2012.
 

E/C Charles N. Mangga bagged the 1st ever THOS (The Outstanding Students) Awards for JBLCF-Bacolod by winning Best Speaker and one of the three Outstading Students of Negros Occidental sponsored by (JCI) Junior Chamber International last February 2012.
